GREATNESS THROUGH INCREASE

“And it shall come to Pass in the INCREASE of your HARVEST”(Gen 47:24)

As a Christian, there is an INCREASE in our HARVEST and for this increase in our harvest to come we must SOW. Hence a Christian must be a ‘SOWER” who is sowing seeds and this will bring an INCREASE in his life leading him to be GREAT. (Lk 8:5)

In order to HARVEST we must SOW and God gives to the Christian(Sower) SEED. So from the SEED that is SOWED comes the Harvest. There are 3 Harvests:

a)HARVEST OF FINANCES (Joel 2:24)

b)HARVEST OF MIRACLES (Joel 2:30)

c)HARVEST OF SOULS(Mt 9:35-38).

The first HARVEST is the Harvest of Finances. Joel says that before the Spirit comes, there will be a RELEASE OF FINANCES to fund the REVIVAL. So many Church revivals fall short or fail because of lack of Finances and many Christians wallow in DEBTS. To be in DEBTS and POOR is not from God.

Hence a Christian must first be BLESSED in his finances that will release him to have a HARVEST of Miracles and for this release of finances in his life he must be a SOWER.

To get out of debts and financial poverty a Christian must learn to SOW FINANCIALLY and to sow financially he must have the SEED OF FINANCE. God will give the “ SEED OF FINANCE” to a Christian who is willing to SOW into the Kingdom of God  through his “ Tithes and Offerings” and bless man.

God has DESIGNED the earth to BRING FORTH it’s produce to give to man, that is why God gave Adam SEED. The “ SEED” that God will give a Christian will come in many forms, it can be a seed of Encouragement, a seed of Hope, a seed of Healing, a seed of Counsel, a seed of finance, but whatever the seed the person receives , he must BLESS GOD and MAN. When he SOWS the seed that God has given him he will have a HARVEST.

Who then is the SOWER in the Church. It is he whose lifestyle is that of SOWING and as he sows he will reap.  The SEED has the power to produce. The HARVEST is IN the seed. The seed will bring forth it’s purpose and fulfil destiny.

We are called NOT TO PRAY for things but PRAY for seed. All that we NEED has already been GIVEN by God(2Pet 2:3).All we got to do is ASK GOD for the SEED and the supply will come, with the SEED comes the FEED, the SEED will FEED our NEED. Let us make the first HARVEST in our life a reality- ASK GOD FOR SEED and be ready to SOW your financial SEED.

CALLED TO GREATNESS

“I will make you a GREAT Nation,  and make your name GREAT”(Gen 12 :12:2).

God’s design for man is to make him GREAT. As a Christian you are called to GREATNESS. The sad part of being a Christian is, that  many of us go to Church not to be “ great” but to “feel great”, having been blessed or healed or even given some “ financial blessing”, serving in some ministry etc..  and this makes us “ feel Great and good”.                                        

This is not the “ GREATNESS” THAT God desires of us. The GREATNESS that God desires for man is that the NATIONS of the earth will be BLESSED because of man. Hence for man to be GREAT in the sight of God is for man to become a BLESSING to others.                                            

Churches must DEVELOP their people to be the BEST in the world around them. We get the “ worst” coming to church and what we do is to just make them feel good. We must always UPGRADE and DEVELOP our people to becoming GREAT.

When the King of Babylon wanted people, he chose the BEST. He chose people who were without blemish, good looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge, and quick to understand, and who have the ability to serve the King and this is the type of people we NEED to develop.                                                                                                                               

Pastors need to DEVELOP their people to become the BEST. God will send the WORST so that they can become the BEST. This is what will OPEN the eyes of people.

GREATNESS can only come through OBEDIENCE. Abraham was made GREAT only after he could COMMAND HIS Children and Household to OBEY.(Gen 18:19)

God had to put the PATTERN OF OBEDIENCE INTO Abraham first, by offering up his only son only then did God raise him up to become GREAT.                                                               

Obedient athletes who follow their coaches advice become GREAT sportsmen, obedient children who OBEY their parents become GREAT in the eyes of God.

Hence GREATNESS comes from OBEYING GOD and that is what Churches and Pastors must do. GET their people to become OBEDIENT to what God has placed in the Church and then they will RISE UP to become GREAT.

We must ensure that our Churches are filled with the BEST, people whose lives are TRANSFORMED, people who flow with DISCERNMENT and KNOWLEDGE, people who  have been SET FREE from sin and bondage, people who are HEALTHY and STABLE with a SOUND MIND and a GOOD HEART- Church is called to have the BEST to be GREAT.
